What I like about both Shopify Exchange and AliDropship’s custom stores is that both source products from AliExpress.

Many dropshippers source products from AliExpress because of the huge profit margins. Another reason is because of the large number of products to choose from.

Now the question is whether or not to buy a dropshipping store that is already established and making sales or order a custom store made for you.

Making the choice will come down to budget, niche selection, and preference.

Below, I will outline the pros and cons of both Shopify Exchange and the AliDropship eCommerce platforms.

Shopify Exchange Established Dropshipping Stores for Sale

If you are not familiar with Shopify Exchange, it is a marketplace to buy and sell online stores which are built on the Shopify platform.

You can search by category and choose “dropshipping” to browse all of the dropshipping stores that are on sale.

They have listings for dropshipping stores sourced by AliExpress and FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon).

Clicking on each store will provide you with more details such as where the products are sourced, pricing, the number of apps that are installed, and other items that are included.

The great thing about all of the stores being on Shopify is that revenue and traffic data is pulled directly from Shopify.

That means the store owners cannot manipulate the numbers:

How to Make Your Choice for a Ready Made Dropship Website

It is always great to have options but now you are probably still wondering how to make the best choice in terms of buying a ready made dropship website.

Here are some things to consider to help narrow down your choices:

Are You Fine Sourcing Products from AliExpress?

Both options I highlight in this post source products from AliExpress. Many dropshippers use AliExpress because a majority of products have low pricing and free shipping.

AliExpress merchants are based primarily in China. This does affect shipping time but products that ship using ePacket often ship much faster.

Advertising Budget

Regardless of where you buy your ready made dropshipping store, you will still need to promote it through various advertising channels.

Many dropship store owners advertise using Facebook ads or using Instagram influencer marketing. You will need to allocated some income for promotion purposes.

The one benefit of choosing an AliDropship store is that you do not have any ongoing store fees the way you would with Shopify.

That savings could be put towards your marketing campaigns.

Do You Want a Store that is Already Earning Revenue?

Shopify Exchange does sell already established dropshipping stores that are already earning revenue.

You can take over where the previous owner left off and have a business that is already earning income.

One thing to keep in mind is that these already established stores cost much more up front. If you do not have the budget, buying a starter store is probably ideal.

Having your own dropshipping store is an awesome way to begin earning a consistent income online.

It is another income stream to add to what you’re already earning. Many times, one dropship store can create full-time income which means you can leave the rat race behind.

  1. Hi, what do you think about using Amazon or Ebay for dropshipping. I am interested in these platforms because there seems to be virtually zero advertising costs. I dont know anything about marketing and am frankly not interested in it.

      From my own experience of dropshipping on eBay, I found it extremely challenging. First, there was a lot of competition for just about every product you can imagine.

      Second, with all of the competition, it was difficult to set my prices high enough to make enough profit. Lastly, my listings were not showing up high enough for anyone to find them.

      As for Amazon, I also tried my hand at FBA and found it challenging with the labeling items and shipping them off. Shipping fees, plus storage fees, seller fees, etc., adds up. Amazon has stricter rules for dropshippers as well.

      The same goes for eBay as far as fees are concerned. Some people manage to do very well with dropshipping on those platforms. However, after my short experience, I’d rather market a dropshipping store and be free of all of the rules.

      It seems that you cannot escape marketing even on eBay and Amazon. Many sellers utilize sponsored posts to have their listings shown above the competition.
