Almost all affiliate marketers at some point come across Clickbank. It is often the place in which a new affiliate earns their first commission.
I know I did. My first commission was $20 and that’s all it took to get me hooked on making money online.
There are all types of ways to make money with Clickbank. In this post, I will discuss how to make money from Clickbank without a website.
I will also share a long-term strategy (one that I use) to make continuous sales which can develop into an online business.
Why Clickbank? What is Clickbank?
According to Wikipedia ClickBank is a privately held Internet retailer of both physical and digital products..
When I first started promoting Clickbank products, it was all digital products. Lately, I have seen physical products such as health shakes, supplements, and more.
There are tons of categories to choose from so there is sure to be an affiliate product that you can promote.
How to Make Money from Clickbank without a Website – Using Squeeze Pages
You do not need a website to promote Clickbank products. However, you will want to consider creating squeeze pages.
A squeeze page is a page that is used to collect visitor information such as a name, email address, phone number, etc.
Squeeze pages don’t typically have a lot of copy on them. They do contain some type of call-to-action.
Meaning, the copy will entice you to submit your contact information in exchange for something.
That something could be some sort of PDF guide, videos, training—more information to help your visitor get answers to their queries.
Why Collect Email Addresses?
Collecting email addresses is the very beginning of your sales funnel.
When a visitor provides you with their email address, they are granting you permission to contact them with more information.
Therefore, you can send informative emails with a combination of sales emails in order to earn revenue.
Think about some of the email lists you are on. How often are you sent promotional emails?
The key, of course, is not to abuse your mailing list. If you send too many promotional messages, you will likely get a lot of unsubscribes from your list.
There is a science to nurturing your mailing list. Check out how to write marketing emails that get results.
Your promotional messages can of course link people to a sales page promoting a Clickbank product related to your topic.
Using Pay-Per-Click to Make Clickbank Sales
One way I made sales without a website was to use PPC advertising pointing to my landing pages.
At one point I was promoting a digital dating product that I found on Clickbank. I used PPC to direct people to my squeeze page.
After I collected their email address, I redirected them to the product’s sales page using my affiliate link.
I was able to generate a few sales that way but I had to stop because I didn’t have much of a budget for PPC advertising.
However, it was a good learning experience. I created my own squeeze pages myself. Many internet marketers use a service like LeadPages or ClickFunnels.
These services are not cheap. If you have the budget they are worth it. I have tested out both services and like what both have to offer.
I really liked ClickFunnels. It has a drag and drop user interface and is very easy to use.
Long-Term Strategy Using Your Own Niche Website
Although I really like the ability to target visitors with PPC advertising, a long-term strategy (and one I’ve made the most Clickbank sales with) is using a niche website.
I created a health & fitness website that reviewed some of the health & fitness products on Clickbank.
It worked out well but unfortunately because I wasn’t aware of how to create an online business, I ended up abandoning that website entirely.
This is why I recommend learning how to create an online business by following a proven system.
When I became serious about creating a long-term online business, I researched various online business training programs.
I found Wealthy Affiliate and it has been so beneficial.
How to Choose a Niche
Considering you are wanting to promote a product on Clickbank, it is easy to choose a product and to build a niche website around it.
You could also create a niche website based on an interest you already have and then find a Clickbank product related to your niche.
Either way, when it comes to creating a niche website, you will have to create a lot of content for your site.
If you feel that you cannot create content based on the niche you have chosen, you may want to reconsider.
Why is content so important? Well, it is what will attract your visitors to your website. Remember, you will be writing genuinely helpful content for your readers.
This content is targeted and will attract visitors searching for information related to your niche.
Within your content, you can then promote Clickbank products by writing product reviews. I learned a great way to do this inside of WA:
Now you know that it is possible to make money from Clickbank without a website. What I’ve written above are only a couple of options.
You can promote Clickbank products in many ways, with or without a website. It is important to recognize which methods are short-term.
Short-term methods usually involve promotion through article marketing (antiquated), social media, and other traffic sources.
A long-term strategy typically involves creating a nice website and promoting Clickbank products via product reviews.
The great thing is, as an internet marketer, you can be as creative as you want in terms of promotion. So long as you are not spamming people, of course.
What is your experience with promoting Clickbank products? Do you plan on using squeeze pages?
