Are Ready Made Niche Websites Worth Buying?

It is no secret that people pay for convenience. I could write a list of things right now that I would happily pay for that would make my life simpler.

When it comes to building niche websites, convenience is probably one of the first things an internet marketer looks for.

This is especially true if you do not have any technical experience but want a website up quickly. There are plenty of ready made niche websites available for sale.

The big question is, are they worth the price? I’ll explain why it is a better idea to build them yourself—even if you’ve never built a website before.

What Are Ready Made Niche Websites?

Before I explain what ready made niche websites are, I’ll briefly explain what a niche website is.

A niche website is basically a website focused on one specific topic. It’s best to ensure your topic isn’t too broad.

For example, if you were to start a niche website about personal finance, you could niche it down even more such as:

  • personal finance for millenials
  • personal finance for people with bad credit
  • personal finance for beginners

The more focused your topic, the easier it is to rank in the search engines which means more targeted traffic to your website.

Why Use a Ready Made Niche Website?

A ready made niche website takes all of the work out of building a niche website yourself. Just to give you an idea of what is involved, here are the steps that are typically required:

  • Niche research
  • Selecting a niche
  • Buying a domain name
  • Buying web hosting
  • Installing your website (WordPress is ideal)
  • Setting up your website navigation and pages
  • Keyword research
  • Writing high-quality content based on your keywords

For someone new to internet marketing those tasks listed above can seem overwhelming. How do you even do niche research? How do you buy a domain name?

The questions can go on and on. A ready made niche website service can take care of all of that for you.

However, it will cost you. These services range in price but for the most part, they are extremely expensive.

A very basic low-end service I found was $127 (Niche Jetpack) and the better quality services range anywhere from $499 (Human Proof Designs) to upwards of $997 (AffiloJetpack) for one website.

What the higher quality services offer include niche selection, keyword selection, website buildout, and content creation.

They can often have your website up and running fairly quickly. For someone who has the extra funds to use services such as these, it is probably worth it.

For those of us who are on a smaller budget, it is wiser to build a niche website yourself.

How to Build Your Own Niche Website and Save Hundreds of Dollars

free niche website

The good news is that it won’t cost you hundreds of dollars to build your own niche website. You don’t need to be technically savvy either.

The only thing required is your time. I use an all-in-one website creation and online business training service called Wealthy Affiliate.

Every niche site I create (including the one you’re reading) is built using SiteRubix—their free niche website builder.

You can even buy your domain through WA and they also provide FREE SSL for your domain!

Wealthy Affiliate will teach you how to do niche research, how to select a niche, and how to build your website properly.

Essentially, you will learn step-by-step how to create a long-term online business. What you’ll really like about this service is that it is free for starter members.

If you like the service and want to learn beyond the first course, you can always go premium. Otherwise, you can remain a free member for as long as you want.

Why It Will Benefit You to Create Your Own Niche Website

blogging

The biggest benefit of going the DIY route for building your own niche website is the money that you will save.

Chances are you have better things to do with $499 let alone $997. By doing it yourself, you not only save a ton of money but you will gain VALUABLE internet marketing skills.

These are skills that you can use over and over again. Whether you want to build a niche website portfolio of your own or land your own freelance clients, these skills will get you there.

Choose a Niche You Love

Another great benefit of building your own niche website is that you get to choose a niche that you are passionate about.

I can tell you that I absolutely love blogging on my website. For me, it doesn’t feel like work at all.

I get to write about a topic that I thoroughly enjoy which means I am helping people along the way.

Writing on my blog is fun and the only thing that keeps me from posting every day is when I have other priorities that I need to take care of.

However, it is my goal to write as often as I can and interact with my visitors who leave comments.

Create Your Own Niche Website Portfolio

Once you learn how to build your own niche website, you can repeat the process over and over again.

If you relied on ready made niche websites, you could be paying between $500 and $1,000 per website and that doesn’t include web hosting or training!

It doesn’t cost nearly as much to do it yourself. I get everything I need inside of Wealthy Affiliate for a whopping $49 a month.

This includes:

  • SiteRubix niche site builder
  • WordPress hosting
  • Secure web hosting
  • 24/7 website monitoring
  • Fully managed
  • Daily backups
  • Email & forwards
  • Site health analyzing
  • Ongoing internet marketing training
  • Questions and answers
  • Weekly live video classes
  • Keyword research tool (I use this often!)
  • Access to the founders, Kyle and Carson
  • Access to all members (ask plenty of questions!)

How Do Niche Websites Make Money?

cash

Whether you buy a ready made niche website or build it yourself, you are probably wondering how it will make money and how long will it take?

Let’s start with the how. Regardless of your niche, your website can be monetized using affiliate products or through placing advertisements on your website.

Depending on if your niche is service related, you can also make money when you generate leads and convert those leads into paying clients.

How long it takes to turn a profit relies heavily on how much effort you put into your website.

You can’t expect to write a few articles and wait for the traffic and money to roll in. Like any business, it takes time for your online business to grow.

However, I have read many success stories inside of WA of people who have managed to quit their 9 to 5 jobs after one year.

You may think that is a long time. But ask yourself how many years have you already devoted to an employer?

A year is NOTHING in terms of creating your own income from your own niche website.

It is an income that will last for years to come and you can do it multiple times as you create more websites.

Can a Niche Website Really Make Money?

I have made money online for years. My problem was that I didn’t know how to create a legitimate online business.

Even today, I continue to make recurring income from a website I created years ago:

Had I had the training and knowledge I have now, I could have grown that website even more or created a larger portfolio.

As the saying goes, “better late than never!” I do things much differently now and what I’ve learned inside of Wealthy Affiliate has made a huge difference.

Are you ready to build a niche website of your own? I recommend reading my Wealthy Affiliate FAQ page.

Save yourself time and money by getting started for free. No gimmicks, no credit cards required, just your time, attention, and taking action.

  1. Hi there, I have never knew about ready made niche websites. I just started my own several months back and it’s still in the works. However I love to build something to call my own. It gives a unique touch and let your readers and subscribers to know who are they in touch with. Human relations are being eroded with Technology and this is the least we can do by providing the personal touch!

    1. Hi Leo,

I agree. I think the ready-made niche websites have their place. For those who can afford to pay for the convenience, it is probably a huge timesaver. However, I enjoy the process of creating a niche website from scratch. It does add that unique touch you are talking about which makes a huge difference. Thanks for sharing your opinion!

  2. Hi, Eartha. Thanks for that interesting read. I too had never heard about ready made niche websites before this. I might have a peek at those sites you linked just to see what it is all about. Do you pick from a catalog of already built and available niche sites, or do you order a site about a topic you choose and then wait for it? Either way, I don’t imagine I’ll go that route, but now I’m just so curious. :^)

    1. Hi Geoff,

I have never purchased a ready-made website myself but from what I’ve researched you can choose one that is already built or select a topic. Of course, it all depends on which service you go through but most seem to offer both options. Thanks for stopping by!
