I won’t go into the details of what affiliate marketing is. Chances are, if you are wanting to learn how to set up an affiliate marketing website, you already know.

However, for those who may stumble upon this post and still need a bit of information about affiliate marketing, click here to read a quick tutorial.

The rest of this post will focus on how you can set up your own affiliate marketing website to earn yourself income online.

There are various ways to go about it. I will explain your options (good and bad) and why I choose to make my websites in the manner that I do.

Affiliate Marketing Websites Examples

Finding an affiliate marketing website example is easier than you think. In fact, you are reading one.

Sure, every affiliate marketer’s goal is to earn income with their website. However, a good affiliate marketer will always put people’s needs first.

If you cannot truly help people with the content that you place on your website, you cannot expect to earn any income.

If you are seeking out more examples, search for topics such as:

  • credit cards
  • six pack abs
  • online schools
  • car insurance
  • make money online

These are just a few topics but there are affiliate marketing websites in almost every niche you can imagine.

You don’t have to mimic what is out there. Figure out what you have a genuine interest in, create a niche blog around your interest and write to help people.

Find some affiliate products to promote that you use and trust. It really is that simple. Of course, there are other things to learn to do well such as keyword research and writing articles that convert.

You don’t need a fancy website with a whole bunch of bells and whistles. All that you need is a CMS (content management system) like WordPress.

How to Build an Affiliate Website Using WordPress

WordPress has become the standard for many affiliate marketers when it comes to building their websites.

The reason being is that WordPress is not only free to install, it has been around for YEARS and has tons of support.

It is also SEO-friendly. Meaning, it is easy to add SEO elements into your website once you learn how.

There are various plugins available as well as tons of free themes (your website’s design.) Best of all, you do not need to be a “techy” to install it.

You can install a WordPress website in a few clicks. Here are your options:

Choose a Web Hosting Provider with WordPress One-Click Installation

I’ve used Dreamhost for years to host my websites. When you buy hosting with Dreamhost, you will also have access to a custom admin panel where you control everything about your website.

If you need help with buying a domain name and how to connect your domain to a web host, please read my tutorial How to Buy a Domain Name for Beginners.

Buying a domain name and web hosting is a common process for getting a WordPress website up and running.

There are free CMS platforms available such as Blogger or Tumblr. However, I do not recommend these types of free services for building your affiliate marketing website.

One reason is that these services are often very limiting on how you advertise on your website. They are also limiting in terms of storage space.

As your website grows, you will eventually need more features that these services simply cannot provide. Worst of all, they have the power to close your account at any time for any reason.
